MY BODY, MY SELF a Workshop for Men with Peter Clothierpic1

red_ball How well do you know your body?
red_ball How is it working for you in your life? In relationships?
red_ball Are you giving it what it needs to function properly?
red_ball Are you treating it with love, respect, and care?
red_ball Are you comfortable with it? Does it fit with who you are?
red_ball What wounds do you carry in your body?
red_ball Do you live with areas of constant tension, stress, and pain?
red_ball What positive or negative beliefs do you hold about your body?
red_ball How do you believe it is perceived by others?
red_ball How does your body bring you joy? Or shame?
red_ball What would you do to change it, if you were able?

This is a healing workshop in which each man is invited to explore his body as a source of pain and pleasure, pride and shame. Each man is asked to question his most basic judgments about his body-its strengths and weaknesses, its assets and flaws-and to consider how these judgments deeply affect his life in his relationships with women and with other men. We will probe those painful areas where we retain our stress and tension, and delve into others where we hold on to memories of pain or shame. We will share our personal experience with the aging process, and we will explore the body as the intimate partner of the mind and the vehicle of the soul as we move through our lives.

Our purpose is to explore, to understand our bodies better in relation to our minds, to expose and heal old wounds, and to increase our capacity for joy.
